mediation careerA couple of weeks ago one of the mediators I’m currently mentoring asked me what podcasts I subscribe and listen to. While my podcast listening list changes depending on my focus interests during a given period, a few tend to stand the test of time. The following are some of those and often on my recommended list for mediation marketing and learning:

Blogging and Beyond – Hosted by the BlogSquad’s Denise Wakeman and Patsi Krakoff. Currently on hiatus for a few months but there are tons of archived podcasts worth your time, each typically running about 30 minutes.

Marketing Minute – New podcasts about every other week, a good one for planting the seed of an idea. And true to their title, each runs about a minute.

Freelance Radio – A newcomer podcast from the folks who write Freelance Switch. Sounds promising so far.

PONcast – Brought to you by the Harvard Program on Negotiation and typically runnning 5-15 minutes in length. Be sure to check out the two-part series, “Emerging Careers in Conflict Resolution,” a panel presentation hosted by UMass Boston’s David Matz.

Conflict Learning Audio – Bill Warters’ interesting and informative series at the intersection of conflict resolution, technology and learning objects.

Negotiation Tip of the Week – Josh Weiss’ terrific tips and wisdom, presented in digestible fashion in podcasts that typically run about 5-15 minutes.

All in the Mind – ABC (A as in Australia) Radio National’s Natasha Mitchell transfixes me weekly.

If you want to find more podcasts, try Podcast.net, the iTunes Music Store (I use iTunes) or search the web using a topic of interest plus the word “podcast.” There’s some good quality out there…and some awful stuff, too, so plan to experiment a bit.

What podcasts do you listen to and love? Share your faves by leaving a comment so I and other MediatorTech readers can expand our listening repertoire. I’ve got more than a few long drives ahead.
